Import or export a theme

Importing a theme helps you build a streamlined appearance for your application. You can also share the exported theme with other users. This approach enhances the user interface consistency and reinforces branding effects.

Export a theme

To export a theme for sharing or reusing purposes, perform the following:

  1. In Theme Designer, find the theme you want to export.

  2. At the theme's bottom right corner, click the three-dot icon. From the menu, click Export.

    Export theme
  3. The Export Theme window pops up, asking for confirmation. Click OK.

A package in ZIP format will be downloaded in your browser.

Import a theme

To import a theme from an existing ZIP file, perform the following:

  1. In Theme Designer, click the + sign. The File Explorer window opens.

    Import theme
  2. Browse to the theme file in ZIP format. Click Open.

The system validates the file before importing. It checks that the theme ID and name are consistent, detects any duplicate versions already present in Theme Designer, and verifies that you have the required permissions to perform the import.

    • If the theme passes all checks, it will appear in Theme Designer.
    • If a conflict is detected, such as a duplicate version or an ID/name mismatch, the import will be blocked and an error message will describe the issue.
    • If you do not have the required permissions, the import will not proceed.
note

Make sure you have the necessary permissions before importing a theme. Contact your administrator if the import is blocked due to insufficient permissions.
