Manage templates

You need the admin rights to use this feature.

Application Management/ Templates manages reusable templates that serve as blueprints for creating new applications. Templates define pre-configured structures, pages, services, and workflows that can be applied when generating new applications, which ensures consistency and efficiency.

Application Management/ Templates

This is the main interface for viewing, searching, creating, and managing all templates in the KAIZEN environment.

Search and filter panel

This section at the top allows you to quickly find specific templates.

NameSearch for templates by their name.
CategoryA dropdown menu to filter templates by their category.
StatusA dropdown menu to filter templates by their current status (e.g., Active, Inactive).
DescriptionSearch for keywords within the template descriptions.
  • Search: Applies the specified filters to the templates list.
  • Clear: Resets all filter fields to their default state.

Main actions

The toolbar provides high-level actions for managing templates.

CreateOpens a form to create a new template from scratch.
ImportAllows you to import a template from an exported file, which is useful for sharing templates across environments.

Templates list

The table displays all the templates in the KAIZEN environment, with columns providing key information at a glance.

ColumnDescription
No.The sequential number of the item in the list.
NameThe unique, user-defined name of the template. This column is sortable.
CategoryThe category the template belongs to, used for organising templates by type or purpose.
StatusThe current lifecycle status of the template (Active or Inactive). This column is sortable.
DescriptionA brief description of the template's purpose or contents (e.g., "CRUD Template").
ActionsA set of operations that can be performed on an individual template row.

Actions

For each template in the list, the Actions column provides the following functions:

ViewNavigates to a detailed, read-only view of the template's configuration and components.
EditOpens the template's configuration settings for modification.

The More dropdown menu provides additional actions:

ExportExports the individual template's configuration into a downloadable file.
DeactivateChanges the template's status to "Inactive", preventing it from being used for new application creation.
ActivateChanges the template's status to "Active", allowing it to be used for new application creation.

After the deactivation, you have the option to reactivate it following the on-screen instructions.
